Beautiful Spring Day At The Park.

Today was such a beautiful day! It was warm for the first time since I can remember. I really wanted to take Stockton to the Park for his first time. We also got a new camera and wanted to try it out. Here are a few things Stockton did.

This kid can be serious one second and ultra happy the other second. He loved the swings. He would smile and smile. He loved them!
Typical Stockton. Daddy is trying to kiss him and he is pushing away. He was getting tired here and staring at the stream.

I like this pic. I love how Darren just loves Stockton so much. He would do anything for this little guy.

Stockton loved this little toy at the Park. Not as much as the swings. Darren had fun playing around with the camera.

Stockton didn't love the slide. He did sure enjoy all the dirt on the slide. He wouldn't stop staring at it.

All in all this little outing was a success. Stockton had fun and so did Darren and I. We can't wait to take Stockton to many more outings to the Park!

Me and My Buddy!

He is all Boy!

Best purchase ever! I bought that ball at the Dollar Store. He will roll around the floor and wrestle with it. Love that he is all boy. I know Darren is excited for him to play catch with him someday.

Stockton at 9 months

Wow! The time goes so fast! We are absolutely in love with this little guy. He has grown up so much these past 9 months. Here are a few highlights;

Stockton is mobile. He doesn't quite "crawl" yet, but he rolls and army crawls to get to where he wants. This is quite alright with us!

Stockton had a very serious streak there for a month or so, but then 4 teeth started to appear. Now he is all smily and cheerful again.

Stockton LOVES to eat. He doesn't want me to feed him food. He wants to do it himself.

He is still bald, but I do see it coming in more and more.

Stockton lets me put hats on him. He doesn't take them off. You might think he likes to be stylish, I think he is to lazy to get it off his head. :)

He loves playing with the "big" kids. He ignores me when he does.

Stockton is a charmer. He smiles at EVERYONE he meets. Everyone absolutly loves him after meeting him.

He doesn't have stranger anxiety. He will go to anyone, but he sure loves his mommy. He will smile at anyone who holds him, but if he is in a bad mood he just needs me.

When we were in Portland we went to a Golf Course. While we were in the Club house this old man insisted Stockton put a golf club in his hand. So here he is. First golf club in his hand at 9 months.

Standing up with Grandmas assistance.

Every night before Stock goes to sleep, he laughs uncontrollable. Makes us laugh.

This little guy has started making the funniest noises. Dar and I just giggle when we hear them.

He can say, "Mama" and "Dada"

He has the most beautiful blue eyes.

He has grown so much these past 9 months. He is so much fun to have around. We can't wait to see whats next with him........

Portland Vacation

Last weekend Darren and I packed our bags and left for Portland. His parents wanted to meet us there for Keith's birthday. We were definatly excited to see his parents. Darren use to live there when he was younger. His parents and him wanted to check out their old neighborhood, and eat at their favorite restaurants.

The first day we met his parents at one of their favorite Mexican restaurants. Stockton was so happy to see them and won them over with his first smile. After lunch we decided to check out their old home. We were pleasantly surprised to see a Big BYU flag being flown at the house. We continued to check out their old 'hood. It was fun to see and hear all their memories.
The next day we went to Canon beach. Darren and I got engaged there 6 years ago. He was doing summer sales here in Oregon and I flew down to meet him here. It was nice to reminisce of our engagement and how he proposed.

Later that night we went swimming and took Stock in the pool for the first time. He had so much fun. I tell you we have the perfect kid. He smiles and smiles and only cries if he is tired or hungry.

The next day is when things took a turn. We went shopping all afternoon. (Thanks Darren!) When we were driving home Dar complained of his tummy hurting. We took him back to the hotel. Thats where he ended up having the flu and was in bed the rest of the night. I did take off with his parents to dinner, but I did end up back as soon as I could to take care of Darren.

We drove home the next day and Darren felt better. (The flu ended up being the worst flu I have ever seen, but at least we were able to drive home.) It was tough to say goodbye to his parents. It has made me miss family and Utah. Stockton was so adored and loved. We enjoyed our trip, despite the flu. Thanks for letting us share your weekend Trish and Keith!

now on to pics.....

Stockton being the perfect baby he is and enjoying the drive.
He was excited to get out of the car and play with Daddy.

He was sure excited to see Grandma.
At Grandpa's birthday dinner at one of his favorite chinese restaurants in Portland.

Stockton about to go swimming for his first time.

He loved it! He loved splashing!

Wasn't quite sure when he first went in, but he smiled the rest of the time.

Darren and his parents at their old place they would go Crabbing at.
Just a normal cloudy day at the coast. It was absolutly beautiful.

Lunch. What a view!
This is Canon beach. Darren proposed to me right about here by Haystack Rock. It was fun to go back to where it all began.
I love this family!
This backpack lasted not too long. He wanted to be free.

Who is that handsome guy?

My stylin' baby!
